Touvre

Just south-east of Angouleme, on the edge of the village that gives it its name, the river Touvre suddenly pours out of the ground in a great sparkling gush and pours away to join the nearby Charente river.

If you have never seen a river bubble up out of the ground before - this is worth going to see on a nice summers day.
